Benefits of Route Monitoring Application for Android

Route monitoring application is designed for mapping various parameters. The application is modular and enables connection of additional measuring instruments, which meet certain requirements.
User can monitor data in real-time on an interactive graph and map as well as analyze data in the field. User can export measured data in the following formats:

  • KML (for importing into Google Earth)
  • XLSX (Microsoft Excel)
  • CSV (universal format - data separated by commas)

and send it to others by email, Bluetooth, USB, Dropbox, etc.

Synchronize data in real time with the web server

Application now allows to synchronize data in real time with web server, so that decision makers can analyze data in the office and decide further actions.

Averaging of Measurement Points at The Same Location

New option is available to average measurement points at the same location or on the selected radius from the first measured point. At the end user gets number of averaged points, mean value and standard deviation.

NEW: Preset Timer (in v1.6)

User can set preset timer in seconds or measured points, so that application automatically stops the measurement.

NEW: Support for French and German language (in v1.6)

French and German language are added in new version (v1.6).

Hardware Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • device that supports Bluetooth, GPS and 3G
  • device with Android 4.0 operating system or newer one
  • device with a 1 GHz processor

Recommended android device should have:

  • at least 1.5 GHz dual-core processor
  • Bluetooth, GPS and 3G
  • at least 7 "screen

 

Real field tests

Application was tested by the highly professional intervention teams from Slovenia from different organizations:

  • The Mobile Radiological Laboratory (MRL) of Slovenia,
    J. Stefan Institute (read more),
  • Radiation Protection Unit (RPU) - SVPIS (read more) and
  • Institute of Occupational Safety (IOS) (read more).

 

The application was used in May 2013 and in November 2014 in field measurements around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant during the “Response and Assistance Network” (RANET) workshop held in the Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.
